Day 43 Stung Treng
Had to say farewell to our lovely family at BeeBees Chalet and did our fastest ever 140km to Stung Treng! (By minibus!) Cycled all of 1.5 miles to the hotel and chilled in our room. There is a fan and cold water shower in each room but with a flick of a switch at reception, you can have hot water and air con for an extra $5 per night!!we decided to splash out.
Had a wander around the town which sits on a tributary to the mighty Mekong river but it was still 35 degrees so needed a cold beer to cool off. The ring pulls on the Cambodian Beer can win you money or an almost free beer and we had collected a few winners at our last place, so my beer cost just 10p! Bargain.
Ate at a local place and invited a French lady who had been staying at BeeBees Chalet with us we bumped into again here. Good meal and the end of a quiet day. Not even any photos to show for it.
10p beers sound the way to go!
ReplyDeleteSurprised the banker authorized the five bucks for non essential expenditure.
